I run a non-profit org. Victim-Link-Services. Website: www.victim-link-services.org.nz.
I provide a free and confidential service of advocacy and support to victims of crime. The difference with my service is that it is unique and there is a niche for this. There is support for victims of homicide- their families and friends and for sexual vilation victims through victim support, many agencies for sexual crime in NZ. I provide services to victims of other crimes, for example: robbery, asssault, home invasion, fraud, and many many others. I do this with passion and drive, even though i have permanent disabilities from a crime committed upon me. I also have a low income. All costs, thus far have come out of my own pocket.
Any ideas please for funding now and the future to keep this important service going in NZ?
Many thanks in advance, take care, Carole.
