Hi
I have a client that wants to move her house to the front of her section allowing me to purscahse the other property to build on, but i am not sure where to start.
Do i find out firstly the cost of the shift then the cost from the council and then do i get a valuer to put a purchase price on the section or do i do that first to see the viability of the market place.
I need to know the sequence of events so i can give a complete detailed package to my client.
Cheers Ross

I don't know if anyone else can help - I hope so because I am not at all an expert in this, but I have some alarm bells ringing on this one.

First you've posted this in the home business site - therefore presumably you plan on running your home business form the property. Before you go much further, I'd be worrying about the associated person's tests. For land deals this is a complex area - so if either of you or your second cousin thrice removed (just kidding - it's not quite that bad but it's not just you two) or your companies or trusts etc have had other land dealings - or are builders, etc, then you need professional advice.

OTOH if there's no way either of you could be connected to people who make their living from properties, then it's probably relatively simple. However, your phrase about the viability of the marketplace just leaves a general feeling of unease about this.

Best wishes
