I am looking at running a business registered in New Zealand while living in Canada. It will be a service based business for New Zealand customers, registered in NZ.

Will I run into any tax problems with this model?

Well, the first issue is where are you tax resident? I assume you'll be in Canada for some time? If you're tax resident in Canada your world-wide income is almost certainly taxable in Canada.

You haven't said whether the business a company - but if so you need to get it's tax residence sorted out. Chances are it's also Canadian - but you really want to get professional advice on this sort of issue.

Best wishes
