Never put in writing, even in an email or on a "private" website, anything which would embarrass you if it found its way into the public arena.
An aStore is a fully functional shop selling Amazon products but with your own branding and logo. This can appear as a stand-alone shop (see an example) in which case it will have an Amazon address, or inside your website (see example) in which case it will have your address, logo and branding. Some other great features of aStore are:
Sample aStore
I have just setup by own aStore selling books, toys,
dvds, clothing etc for little boys. It took me just over an hour, and is integrated into my website. Visit my new aStore. You may not have realised but Amazon sells everything from books to clothing to computers to toys to kitchenware etc. If your market is the US or international, this is a quick easy and professional way to setup a great affiliate website.
Setup your own Amazon aStore
1. Join the Amazon Associates Program (details above).
2. Click on aStore link on left of Amazon Associates page.
3. Click on the Add an aStore button .
4. Choose colours, navigation panels you like.
5. Add an About Us page and link to your website.
6. Add a Category, give it a name and description, then add individual products.
7. Use the drop down search box to find products, then click on add product to add to your store.
8. Click on the thumbnail versions of the products to give each one your own review/description and change the order they appear.
Multiple Currencies
If you plan to sell items to both New Zealand and international customers, you can insert a simple javascript onto your web pages asking customers to choose their currency. Depending on their selection, they are then taken to your aStore (US$ customers) or your NZ$ store. Remember that Amazon also has a website for the UK as well as other countries. All of these sister sites allow you to create aStores. See my blog for links to the javascript code. You can have up to 100 aStores on your account and can edit and add products so easily, you’ll wonder why you hadn’t tried it before. I just wish there was something so easy to use for New Zealand products I would like to sell…
