If you own a domain name for your business, even if it does not have a web site on it, make sure your email address is based on this domain.
I discovered a really great business tool the other day... skrbl Realtime whiteboards allow you to draw freehand, type text, upload screenshots and images and even files onto an online whiteboard. You get a unique web address for each board you create then invite various people to view it. They simply click on the address and can not only see what you can see, but can add their own text, drawings and comments. Any number of people can be looking at and adding to the same board at the same time.
Visit the skrbl website at www.skrbl.com to get started or click on the button below. There are free and paid versions of the whiteboard.
Online Whiteboards for Proofing
As a website designer, I often email ideas or drafts of a logo, brochure layout or web layout to a client for their comments. The most effective way for them to respond is to print everything out, then write all over it with circles, arrows etc. It then needs to be faxed or scanned (fine if I had a fax machine or if it only needed faxing once, but what about multiple times...it would become illegible). The Scribl whiteboard is perfect for this situation. I could easily have a business meeting with my client in a different location as long as we were both looking at the same board.
Add a Graffiti Board to your Website/Blog
A public version of the whiteboard called graffiti board can be pasted into your website or blog for everyone to use. Sure, you might get a few unwanted comments, but think about the potential for gathering feedback, opinions, questions and suggestions from your target audience. You can easily adjust the size your board displays at through the line of code you are given.
