You might already have heard that a new global domain name suffix has been launched - .co.

It's touted as the "new .com". While it's probably worth securing yours - at least to prevent anyone else using it - do you think the .co is going to take off or fizzle? Is it just a way for domain registrars to make more money, or is it really a great addition to your domain name arsenal, or a wonderful opportunity if you missed out on the .com version of your name?

Helping you make running your business easy, fun and successful.

We've secured our .co domain. It makes total sense for us to in on the ground floor on this one. We're currently rebranding to remove the "baby" focus from our products, as our range has expanded to include many more products for older children. We can't get banz.co.nz, so securing banz.co now for future migration is future-proofing our interests.
Besides which, we got in before any other Banz distributor in the world, even the Aussie manufacturer. One for the Kiwis!

I think it depends on where your focus is. Our business is focused on within New Zealand only, so we are happy with our .co.nz

I think it would be worth it to get a .co if your business was looking to take an international focus, just in case they became really popular.
