What is it about female Prime Ministers and white?

EmailEmail

Australia’s new Prime Minister, Julia Guillard chose a white suit for her press conference to announce the date of the election.  And New Zealand’s former Prime Minister, Helen Clark wore a white jacket for her billboards for the last election.   White is not a colour that suits either women, do they think that voters will believe them more if they are wearing white?

Julia Guillard has chosen either black or white power dressing suits for most of her recent important appearances and neither colour does anything for the redhead.   Supposed to be a natural redhead, the colour of her hair looks artificial, why not tone it down with wonderful warm caramels and bronzes and then chose some clothes in brown, green, terracotta tonings.  If we have to see daily news clips of her on the campaign trail, why not make it easier on the eye.  Colour is the first thing we notice about someone so  why not choose the best colour to enhance our skintone and complexion.
