How do you develop your own style?

EmailEmail

Firstly decide how you want people to describe your appearance … smart, funky, casual, elegant, classic, sporty.

If you can’t decide how you want to look, do some people watching and you will build up a picture of why you look twice at someone, is it a striking colour; a great handbag; interesting shoes, accessories.   Or go through magazines and cut out pictures of the clothes that you like and you will create a picture of the style you want to develop for yourself. Whatever that look is, still be true to your colour and your bone structure analysis. Learn how to interpret the look you see in a magazine and make it in something that works for you.

If you see a pale blue tailored jacket, worn over blue and black animal print top and teamed with black trousers, you love it, but the colours are not your colours, then analyse what you like… pale tailored jacket, so choose the pale colour from your Colours Fan for the jacket.  If animal print is not your favourite print, then choose a top, with pattern, to go under your jacket and team with jeans or dark trousers. So you’re getting the look that you liked in the magazine, but turned it into an outfit that works for you.
