"imcoolbaby@hotmail.com" is not a business email address. A proper (paid-for) email address is just one of the small things that projects a professional image.
Many people are under the impression that they have to arrive in Australia and have a permanent address there before they can set up an Australian company.
Thankfully, this is not the case.
Given the delays that can occur in waiting until you are established in Australia before forming your company, it is often wiser to incorporate your company before leaving New Zealand, in order to hit the ground running when you get to Australia.
HomebizBuzz, in association with a professional company formations organisation, is able to arrange the establishment of your Australian company using the expertise of its associate and their key contacts within
Australia, taking the hassle out of dealing with the various Government Departments and Agencies yourself.
The process is very common and totally legal. And the best news is you can do it all by fax and email.
So, how do you go about it?
Firstly, you decide what name you'd like for your Australian company. You are usually asked for three preferences and each must end in the words "Pty Limited".
You will be asked to provide name and address details for all shareholders and directors, along with an address for the registered company office (if you don't have one, our company formations associate will rent you a "registered office facility" for a small fee). This is common legal practice in most countries, including Australia and New Zealand.
And what about the costs?
Anybody who has ever dealt with Australian Government agencies will probably not be surprised to hear that setting up a company in Australia is fairly expensive, compared with New Zealand.
The cost of setting up the company in Australia (regardless of whether you complete this from New Zealand or while in Australia) is around $A1500.00. Additional Australian fees are charged if a registered office is required, along with local nominee shareholders and directors, and there is a small local fee of $NZ 250.00 (including GST) for the work undertaken on your behalf by our company formations associate.
